Waterproof bags

Four waterproof bags with sealed or welded construction for containing wet dive gear and protecting dry contents in splash environments: a multi-size roll-top waterproof bag from 10 to 80 litres (SKU 852410-25), a waterproof backpack 60l (SKU 852435) with shoulder straps, a waterproof handle bag (SKU 852445), and a waterproof travel bag (SKU 852440). These bags are splash-proof and immersion-resistant, not dive-rated.

The Waterproof bag (SKU 852410-25) is the most versatile item in this category — a roll-top sealed dry bag available in multiple sizes from approximately 10 litres up to 80 litres. The roll-top closure is sealed by folding the opening down three or more times and clipping the buckle; seal integrity depends directly on the number of folds and the buckle being fully engaged. This format is widely used for containing wet wetsuits post-dive and protecting electronics on a dive boat or shore entry. The Waterproof backpack 60l (SKU 852435) adds shoulder strap carry comfort to a large-capacity waterproof bag — useful for hikes to shore entry sites or any situation where hands-free carry is required. The Waterproof handle bag (SKU 852445) is a structured waterproof bag with rigid or semi-rigid handles, better suited for carrying wet gear over short distances with a stable grip. The Waterproof travel bag (SKU 852440) combines waterproof construction with a travel-format layout including external pockets and a more rigid structure — note: currently listed as out of stock.

What to Look For

  • Size selection for the roll-top bag. The roll-top waterproof bag in 10–15 litres covers valuables and electronics for a dive day at the surface. The 40l size covers a full wetsuit and accessories. The 80l size accommodates a complete diving kit for shore or boat diving where gear is transported wet. Select the minimum size that covers your content — oversized roll-top bags are harder to seal correctly when partially filled.
  • Backpack straps for shore entry and boat diving with distance to entry point. The 60l waterproof backpack is the practical choice for divers who park or disembark at a distance from the water entry — rocky shore entries, cliffside sites, or dive boats that anchor at distance from the shore. Carrying a heavy wet bag with handles over longer distances is tiring; the backpack format distributes weight correctly for walking.
  • Roll-top seal technique. The waterproof integrity of a roll-top bag depends entirely on seal technique. The opening must be dry before rolling; three to five folds are required for a reliable seal; the buckle must be clipped. Forcing a bag closed with insufficient folds or without clipping the buckle will allow water ingress under pressure or immersion. These bags should not be submerged.
