Six tools for tank pressure management and valve verification: tank pressure equalizers (DIN and INT connections, with and without built-in pressure gauge) for transferring gas between cylinders, and tank testers (DIN and INT) for checking valve outlet and regulator seat integrity before rigging a regulator.

The Tank pressure equalizer DIN (SKU 560000) and Tank pressure equalizer INT (SKU 560001) are hose assemblies approximately 1000mm in length with DIN or INT fittings at both ends and a control valve in the middle for regulating gas flow between two cylinders. Gas flows from the higher-pressure cylinder to the lower-pressure cylinder when the valve is opened; flow stops when pressures equalise. The Tank pressure equalizer with pressure gauge DIN (SKU 563000) and INT variant (SKU 563001) add a mid-hose pressure gauge so the operator can monitor transfer pressure directly without referencing either cylinder’s own gauge. The Tank tester DIN (SKU 562000) and Tank tester INT (SKU 562001) are compact tools that connect to a cylinder valve outlet and allow the operator to verify that the valve opens and closes correctly and that the outlet seat does not leak before attaching a regulator first stage.
What to Look For
- DIN vs. INT connection for your cylinder valve type. DIN fittings thread directly into a recessed port on the valve face; INT (A-clamp/yoke) fittings clamp over a protruding valve port. European steel cylinders predominantly use DIN valves; aluminium cylinders and many rental cylinders use INT. Select the equalizer type matching the valve configuration of your cylinders. If working with mixed DIN and INT cylinders, both versions should be available.
- Equalizer with gauge for controlled transfers. The plain equalizer allows gas to flow until pressures balance, with pressure monitoring requiring a separate gauge on each cylinder. The version with built-in gauge provides direct pressure readout at the transfer point — useful for partial transfers where the operator wants to stop flow at a specific pressure rather than allowing full equalisation.
- Tank tester for pre-dive valve checks. The tank tester is a fast verification tool for dive centres and technical divers who rig multiple cylinders. Connecting a tester takes seconds; it confirms valve operation and absence of leaks before a regulator is attached. This is particularly useful for cylinders that have been in storage, recently hydro-tested, or where the valve packing has been serviced — a leaking valve seat should be identified before a regulator is rigged, not after.
